How rankings work
BXTPH Ranking Guide
An explanation of National, Community General, Season rankings and fair play. Only published tournament results appear in official leaderboards.

What qualifies?
An officially completed eligible multi-stage tournament with at least 32 unique actual competitors. Registration count and capacity do not determine eligibility.
How are Overall points earned?
Only the highest final placement in the elimination stage counts: Champion, Runner-up, podium and other genuine Top Cut placements. Larger eligible fields receive a greater award. Qualifying-stage elimination earns no Overall placement points.
What is Best in Finishes?
Extreme, Over, Burst and Spin credit accepted winning finishes from qualified tournament rounds. Achievement count is the foundation, with a limited efficiency component. BYEs award no finishes.
Do private games count?
Public or private visibility alone does not determine eligibility. Qualified competition and validated records determine credits.
What happens in a tie?
Bladers with equal points share the same leaderboard position, such as 5th, 5th, 7th.
Community General
What does General mean?
Community-wide leaderboards can draw from eligible tournaments held across its seasons and standalone games.
What rankings are available?
The standard categories are Overall, Extreme, Over, Burst and Spin. Custom ranking management will let owners replace defaults and combine supported measurable criteria.
Can a community build an all-seasons leaderboard?
The custom-ranking design supports this using underlying game results and consistent criteria across selected seasons, without combining incomparable historical scoring formulas.
Does a custom community ranking alter National ranking points?
No. Community scoring configurations are separate from the nationwide official rankings.
Community Season
How do Season Rankings work?
A season leaderboard counts eligible tournaments assigned to that specific season, not games belonging to another season.
Can an owner reuse an existing ranking?
The planned builder will allow a season to copy a saved community ranking or a previous season's settings without rebuilding the criteria. The copied configuration will be independent.
What does Reset to Default do?
For the selected scope it deletes custom ranking configurations and restores the five BXTPH standard ranking categories. It never deletes tournament results or National ranking points.
Fair Play & Integrity
How are actual competitors counted?
Only genuinely participating, unique competitors are eligible for field-size calculations. Registrants who never compete must not inflate points.
What happens with suspicious tournaments?
BXTPH can review score audits and participation evidence, invalidate confirmed fraudulent contributions and take action against responsible organizers or communities, including suspension or banning subject to review.
Do points decrease for inactivity or match losses?
No. Legitimately earned points accumulate within the ranking period. Corrections to invalid or reversed results are not an inactivity penalty.
When do new points appear?
After eligible tournament completion and successful ranking publication. Pending review or unpublished events are not visible on official leaderboards.
